THE COMMON ULTERIOR have begun work on their next studio release, as stated by the band: "We've just begun working on our next big thing, it's hopefully going to be out by the summer, but we're not really ones to keep promises we cant keep..."

The album is aimed to be a re-imagination of what the band is, and may in fact be. While the members of the group are setting themselves up for their eventual future projects, they continue to experiment on this album, and test the waters of new sounds and styles.

Furthermore, this album is the first studio release to feature the new lineup. When Sergeant Sagacious grew weary and left the group, Dominic Feathley decided also to leave, taking Christopher Elephantine with him; the result of which left The Common Ulterior in a tricky situation. However, peace was restored when two musicians - Todd Evans & Zack Stargaze - took over from the previous anonymous members. Stargaze & Evans are in many ways different from the old lineup, as they are not scared to show themselves for who they are, and have left the anonymous element of the band as a relic of the past.

The new album will surely be a treat for the ears, and will bounce off the band's debut Double EP, "Abstract Ideas".
